The Event Launch of Equilibrio by Gessi
Once again, Gessi has proved its mastery in innovation and design in luxury end of Italian bathroom industry. On the 23rd of March, Dexterton Corporation celebrated a full night’s event—with over a hundred of Manila’s prominent architects, interior designers, developers, and other special guests gracing the launch of Equilibrio, Gessi’s newest line of faucets built with a unique aesthetic, at its newest building in Bonifacio Global City.
With a special introduction of Gruppo Treesse’s highly-impressive Ghost System whirlpool tub setting up the mood and Dexterton’s newest Italian outdoor furniture, Plust mesmerizingly lighting up the scene. Everyone was pervaded with much anticipation even before the program, as the guests were served with an excellent selection of wines and delectable dinner.
With everyone repleted, an inspiring story of the 20 years of harmonious business relationship between Gessi and Dexterton was shared by Dexter Go, Vice President of Dexterton Corporation, in his opening remarks, followed by Gunter Serafini, General Manager of Gessi Singapore.
“Gessi and Dexterton have been partners for over 20 years. We are their first export client in Asia. Today, Gessi is one of the most important faucet brands in our company. I can be most proud to say that we are selling the most sought after faucets in the high-end segment today. Gessi is not for everyone. It is for people who consider having luxury and prestige in the things that they have and use in their daily lives,” says Dexter.
“Like in every good relationship, you have first of all to be like-minded. The way we have always approached our work is by trying to inspire the same community that like us is driven by passion of design and quality. And we are amazed for the welcome, support and appreciation we have from the community,” says Gunter, emphasizing the importance of Gessi’s current involvement in the most prestigious projects within Asia. He then briefly introduced the concept behind the sleek and natural design of Equilibrio, a byproduct of a creative convergence between Gessi and Marsel Lesko, an artist-philosoper who was at that time, in his meditative practice at Sardinia beach, inspiring the energetic archetype of Equilibrio that was designed later on by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutella.
The night fell silent, immersed into a tranquilizing music and silent breaths, as Marsel Lesko captivatingly performed his stone-balancing—a ten-minute full of meditation with the elements given by nature in search of equilibrium, the balance that so many times in life people tend to lose.
The guests then gathered around the cart where the product was unveiled by the top management, Dexter Go and Michael So, running their hands across its natural materials.
Symbolizing a revolutionary chapter in research of design and well-being, Equilibrio replicates the art and aesthetic of stone-balancing, taking on a distinctive organic figure of two ovoid stone-like forms resting atop each other – showcasing a strong relationship with water relaying the energy that is created when stones are aligned.
The announcement of raffle draw winners and Dexterton item giveaways marked the closing of the night. But to let the guests experience the art and beauty of balance, they were challenged to try the stone-balancing themselves while the first person who succeeded was rewarded with Dexterton gift certificate.
